Hey there!
But you can call me "Dr. Roby"
Throughout my career as a clinically trained psychotherapist, counselor educator, and supervisor, I dedicated myself to guiding individuals toward their authentic selves—a mission that originally inspired the launch of my former clinical practice. During that chapter of my career, my clients affectionately referred to me as their "Dark Fairy Godmother," as I would not shy away from helping them uncover their true nature or coming “home” to themselves. However, over time, I realized that many standard, rigid, “evidence-based” models I was trained to use overlooked the gendered lived experiences of myself and other women, and the vital role that femininity plays in healing and women's self-actualization process.
This realization inspired me to officially retire from full-time clinical practice and pursue my independent, self-funded research on the historical lineages of female folk and Indigenous healers, which revealed a different kind of wisdom: one that teaches all individuals, regardless of gender, to honor their intuition and the inner soul essence.
Thus, from this scholarly journey, I choose to pursue a path rooted in the wisdom of the feminine and to develop my Yonic Theory approach—a psycho-spiritual model of women’s self-actualization that honors intuition, embodiment, and the sacred currents of feminine wisdom that have been silenced throughout history.
Today, having fully transitioned away from active client-facing practice, I continue to spend my evenings and personal time preserving and sharing this framework strictly as an independent researcher and author. I maintain this focus alongside my primary professional engagements by documenting my findings in The Yonic Journal—a digital library and living archive of articles, essays, and conceptual frameworks designed for scholars and progressive wellness professionals seeking to move beyond rigid protocols and “one-size-fits-all” frameworks to honor the wisdom of the feminine and to guide women towards embracing their fullest, most authentic selves.
