Hello my name is Michelle and I would like to invite you on a journey towards self-discovery!

Hi my name is Michelle Robichaux (Yup, super Cajun name, I know!) and I am Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas (#80901). Let me tell you a little bit about me and why I've chosen to dedicate my life to helping others...

As human beings, I believe that we all have a natural desire to find fulfillment and authenticity in our lives. Thus when we are faced with challenges that threaten or prevent us from achieving this goal, we can find ourselves feeling disconnected from others and repeating negative patterns in our lives.

The good news is that we do not have to face these challenges alone!  My ultimate goal as a Licensed Professional Counselor is to provide a safe space that is non-judgmental, compassionate and honest; so that we can work together to identify and change the barriers that prevent you from embracing your true, authentic self. In my work with clients, I take the time to specifically tailor my interventions and techniques to the needs of each individual I work with so that I can empower my clients to make lasting meaningful changes and unlock their ultimate potential.

I approach counseling from a Humanistic/Person Centered perspective with an emphasis on Relational/Attachment theory. However I am trained to utilizing interventions and skills from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), EFT/Tapping, Gestalt Therapy, Self-Compassion Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Feminist Theory and other strength-based techniques.
